[ One of the problems with telling a rich person to not buy a lot of stuff was that usually they decide to ignore that sort of thing. Yoon-sung was going to try but he ended up buying bits and pieces which managed to fill a decent sized box. So Kara was going to receive a package on the larger size, though it isn't that heavy tbh.

Inside was a luxury fleece printed with blue and white stars, two soft sets of house slippers, a large cat plushie, and a 50 dollar gift card to the local mall. There was a simple card as well with a short message. ]

[Oh, does she. She sorts through her memories, bites her lip, and hesitates for replying.]

Bits and pieces. My school. Getting picked on by classmates because I rode a horse instead of a hoverboard. Having that S-thing on all my stuff. And the sun, how it looked red instead of yellow. That's most of it, that and... uh, something else. Why?

[Bits and pieces is as much as Big K, but her understanding feels more pointed than that.]

I remember it too. Working with my dad on some genetics research project, the sun being red, and that S. I know it was destroyed. My memories have kind of hinted at it, and that's the only logical conclusion. That's why I...we...end up on Earth. Figured I'd ask if you remembered the same.

I have a little extra info for you too, I guess? Just so you have it. The S is a pictogram, an image with a meaning. It means "Hope" and "Of the Sun" in their language. And it's the family crest, for...The House of El? I guess they were nobles or something, because that's really melodramatic.

Also the sun was named Rao. And there were 3 big cities. Argo, Kandor, and Kryptonopolis. I think a lot of the planet was barren, though.

Whoa... Thank you. I didn't remember all that stuff. But I do remember it getting destroyed. My mom and dad -- I mean, other-me's, obviously -- sent me off in a ship on my own. They said they'd be coming too, but once I was in the ship, they said there was only room for one... I knew the Retrospec people all said our worlds were destroyed, but I didn't think I'd actually remember it.

[Whenever Lina gets home, she'll find two things. First, a note stuck to the front door asking her to come to the kitchen.

And if she chooses to ignore that, there's another note pinned to her bedroom door that says 'Seriously, kitchen. Now.'

[Kara's sitting in the kitchen, looking very serious, but in front of her is a big sheet cake. One of those super cheapo but huge grocery store cakes.

[Heavy snowfall means shoveling. And since Shuji is fairly fit (now), he's definitely on shoveling duty, especially in the neighborhood he used to live in.

(What is he going to do, make his parents shovel their own sidewalk? Even now, Asian parents still put the fear of God in him.)

Clearing out that neighborhood means passing by Lina's house, and it's while he's shoveling their driveway that Lina exits the building.]
